A timely unbeaten century from Austin Waugh to New South Wales U-17 title

Austin Waugh, son of former Australian captain Steve Waugh, finished as the top run-getter in the Under-17 50-over National Championships for 2016-17. The icing on the cake was his unbeaten 122 in the final that helped New South Wales Metro beat Queensland at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane on Thursday (October 6).

The 17-year-old Austin Waugh amassed 372 runs at an average of 74.4 in the tournament, including an unbeaten 122 in the final.
