Perth proved far too good for the Sixers

The Scorchers have by far been the side to beat in this tournament and today was just another reminder. Bringing out their 'A' game on the big night, the bowlers first set it up with their sheer pace as they kept piercing the balloon that never gained enough oxygen to inflate. The trio of pacemen, led by the fiery MJ, had the batsmen hopping around. And then, all it required was two partnerships and 15 overs
to make an absolute mockery of the total that was touted to be on the tricky side. Six years, three titles and a perfect way to bid goodbye to what has been a Western Australia fortress. A retiring fortress and its employees have given it just the ideal send off. Voges grabs the trophy, his boys engulf him and the confetti blows up. Along with the night crackers. Mind you, it is still pretty bright out there. Says everything about the contest that we've seen. Or the lack of it rather. Nevertheless, this has been one heck of a tournament.
