Australia Matthew Wade stepped up in India

Somewhat controversially recalled after the axing of Peter Nevill, Wade deserves plenty of credit for taking his wicketkeeping to another level in India, where he completed four stumpings.
There’s nowhere in the world tougher for a keeper than the subcontinent, where both bounce and turn are variable and Wade was exceptional across the Border-Gavaskar series. He also fared reasonably with the bat that campaign, averaging a respectable 32.66 in treacherous conditions.

Eight Tests, 246 runs at 24.60.
Top score of 57.
23 catches, five stumpings.
