Misbah-ul-Haq will be sorely missed by Pakistan

Pakistan’s other outgoing champion, Misbah looked a shadow of himself against Australia last summer but still exits with 870 runs at a tick under 40 in his final season. At the age of 43, that’s an extraordinary achievement.
He started the voting period with a century against England at Lord’s, but didn’t reach three figures again. However he did notch 99s in consecutive Tests against the West Indies — allowing him to leave the game with a record three scores off 99. Never been done before. That’s a legacy, right?

14 Test. 870 runs at 37.82.
One century. Top score of 114.
