Steve Smith continues to go from strength-to-strength

The world’s best batsman, officially. And another super 12 months, where no player scored more centuries — six — than Smith. He was shuffled between No.3 and No.4 throughout that period,
and his results at first drop are staggering — with his average jumping ten points. At four? He takes on mortal status but was still outstanding, with two centuries and 735 runs at an average of 56.53. Not much more needs to be said about the Australian skipper.

13 Tests, 1399 runs at 63.59.
Six hundreds. Top score of 178 not out.
