West Indies Shane Dowrich has immense potential

One of the next generation of West Indian stars to revive hope that the former powerhouse can one day get back to an elite level, Dowrich enjoyed a productive – if not exceptional – year of Test cricket. But having only debuted in 2015, he’s just a baby in the Test scene.
Fans wondering what he’s made of would be advised to watch his gutsy 74 made in Kingston against India. It was a match-saving knock – or one of four, from a quartet of emerging Windies stars – and one which highlights the immense potential of the 25-year-old.

Nine Tests, 416 runs at 29.71.
Top score of 74
47 catches, four stumpings
