AUSTRALIAN cricket vice-captain Dave Warner has splashed-out $450,000 on a Lamborghini Huracan, following the flash sports car form line of Michael Clarke, Shane Warne and Michael Slater. Like the pyrotechnics displays Warner is capable of putting on with the bat in the blink of an eye, the left-handed Australian opener’s new set of wheels ranks among the fastest cars on the planet. With a top speed of 325km/h, the V10 Huracan can go from zero to 100km/h in 2.8 seconds. Warner has been attempting to keep his new ride off the radar but Australian teammates have begun talking about the Matraville Mauler’s newest purchase. According to BRW’s rich list of sports stars, Warner has amassed annual earnings of around $4 million over the last two years. The newly-crowned Australian vice-captain follows a precession line of cricketers with a taste for driving flash sports cars. Retired Test captain Clarke famously splashed out on a Ferrari as an up-and-coming member of the team before progressing to an Aston Martin.
